The day began with a special assembly. The importance of protecting the environment and the impact of human activities were described by students and teachers in a very detailed manner.
Students put up a show with fancy dress, songs, mime and dance related to the theme “Land Restoration, Desertification and Drought Resilience”. They exhibited their creativity by making nature friendly posters and by writing slogans that highlighted the need to Reduce -Reuse -Recycle waste  and conserve the natural resources.
Manager & Correspondent of SAPS, Rev.Fr.Michael Joseph Prakash SFX,  delivered the presidential address. He emphasized the importance to be given to protect our environment and the responsibility of everyone in preserving it.
Principal Mrs. Anita Gloria Roy encouraged the students by appreciating the active participation of the students.
Together we planted a lot of saplings in the garden.
Indeed the celebration made us to understand the importance of our environment. Let us remember The Earth is what we all have in common.
