History

The aim of our school is to impart an all-round education based on Christian values of compassion and love, to the young students. Education is vital to the growth of an individual, a community and thereby a nation. As TC Palya became increasingly urbanised, Most Rev. Dr. Bernard Moras (our Founder), the Archbishop Emeritus of Bangalore, recognized the need to expand and modernize the already existing 100-year-old Kannada Medium School into St. Antony’s Group of Institutions, which would cater to the upliftment of children residing in T.C. Palya and neighbouring areas. Thus, St. Antony’s Public School began functioning from St. Antony’s Church Premises in 2011. Since then, the school has continuously grown and has established a tradition of excellence.

In the year 2012, the primary classes 1st standard to 5th standard where started and new building was constructed and on 28 August 2012, it was inaugurated by the Governor of Karnataka. His Excellency Shri. Hansraj Bhardwaj and blessed by the Arch Bishop of Bangalore Rev. Dr. Bernard Moras.

Fr. Mariappa Gregory, Parish Priest of St. Antony Church was appointed as the Manager to the St. Antony Public School and he served as the Manager from 2012-2014. In 2014 Fr. Uday Kumar took charge as the Parish Priest and as well as the Manager of St. Antony Public School and served the institution for a year during which he uplifted the school with creative ideas succeeding him. Fr. Rai Prasad Moses was appointed as the Manager and Correspondent in 2015 and served the institution till 2019 and during his tenure the school achieved provisional Affiliation successfully. Then Fr. Adrian Mascarenhas was appointed as the Manager and Correspondent in 2019, he efficiently managed the pandemic period and Processed Permanent Affiliation. He served for the institution till 2021. Fr.Prashanth Kumar MSFS, took charge as the Manager and Correspondent of St. Antony Public School on 10.08.2021 the mile stone event in the History of St. Antony Public School was achieving Permanent Affiliation with ICSE Board and laying of the Foundation Stone for the New Building was by his Grace Dr.Peter Machado, the Archbishop of Bangalore

Fr. Michael Joseph Prakash sfx, is took charge as the Manager and Correspondent on 03.06.2024 with the great Zeal Leadership Spirit.
