RULES OF THE SCHOOL
1.
Attendance is compulsory on the reopening day after each
vacation, on the closing day, the day before every test/exam, on days of
important school functions like Sports Day, Annual Day, etc: and on the days
before and after any religious festival. Absence on these days will call for
disciplinary action.
2.
Punctuality
a.
Students
are expected to be in school at 8.15 a.m. every morning. Students who are late
are liable to disciplinary action.
b.
Punctuality
for both sessions of daily classes is essential. If a student who is present
for one of the sessions required leave for the other, a letter must be brought
from his/her parents and counter signed by the Principal.
3.
Absence due to illness must be intimated at the earliest.
Leave of absence from school for social and religious functions must be applied
for, well in advance. Prior permission for the same must be sought in writing
from the Principal.
4.
Leave
Notes are to be written
in the columns provided for this purpose, in the School Prospectus. Reasons for
leave should be specified clearly.
5.
Every
student should obey and respect those in authority, both inside and outside
school.
6.
Students
are always expected to be polite in speech and courteous in manner. Speaking in
the vernacular or using foul language is not allowed. Necessary disciplinary
action will be taken against students not following these instructions.
Neatness and cleanliness in dress and person, is insisted upon.
7.
School
uniform is compulsory.
8.
The
School timings are from 08.30 a.m. to 03.15 p.m. Students are expected to be on
the premises at 08.15 a.m. Classes commence at 08.45 a.m. Students are not
permitted to come late to the School. The lunch break is from 12.30 p.m. to
01.00 p.m. Attendance on Saturdays is compulsory for the High School. Absence
without prior permission will be viewed seriously, and necessary disciplinary
action will be initiated.
9.
A
student, if asked to return home for valid reasons, will be given an ‘Exit
Note’ (a permission for temporary absence) by the Head of the Institution or
the Management’s Deputy. However permission of the Principal is always required
to leave the premises during School hours. It is also important for his/her to
be accompanied by his/her parent.
10. Silence on the school premises and in the classrooms
is always to be maintained. No student is allowed to sit on the teacher’s chair
or on the desks. They are expected to refrain from operating or playing with
the Smart Boards.
11. Students are always expected to respect the authority
given to staff members, captains and monitors.
12. Severe action will be taken against possession of
obscene literature/material and the use of bad language.
13. Persistent irregularity, lack of punctuality,
continuous negligence of duties, serious disobedience and disrespect towards
authority or any staff member, malpractice in tests and examinations, thieving
and immoral behavior, both in and outside the School, will call for immediate
dismissal or suspension of a Student.
14. Damage to School property is punishable and has to be
paid for/replaced.
15. Students are expected to make every effort to keep the
classroom and premises clean. Wet & Dry waste should be disposed off
separately into bins kept in the quadrangle and on the corridors.
16. Students are responsible for their cycles, books,
pens, watches, clothes, games kit, lunch boxes, bags, and other belongings even
though the School does take every precaution to safeguard them.
17. A student who fails twice in the same class or whose
conduct is unsatisfactory even after repeated warnings will be asked to take
his/her transfer certificate.
18. Students who do not have a minimum of 75% attendance
will not be promoted to the next class.
19. Attendance at all co-curricular and physical training
is compulsory.
20. No student is permitted to join or represent any club
or organization without the prior written permission of the Director.
21. Letters sent to the students at the School address are
subjected to scrutiny by the Management.
22. Unlawful usage of School name and School monogram on
any articles (i.e. T-Shirts, Badges, Wrist bands, Pullovers etc.) is strictly
prohibited.
23. After class hours, Students are not permitted to
congregate near the school gate or visit the nearby shops and restaurants. They
are expected to go home immediately.
24. Students are not allowed to celebrate their birthdays
in School. Serving snacks and lunch to the Students & Staff is not
permitted. They may distribute sweets, if they wish.
25. Substance Abuse: The use of Cigarettes, e-cigarettes,
alcohol, tobacco, drugs etc. by the students or being in possession of them
result in immediate dismissal of the student from School.
26. Students from Std.V onwards are permitted to bring
cycle to School.
27. The Cycle stand fees of Rs. 500/- (for the whole year)
should be paid at the School office and the cycle stickers for the same to be
collected. Only those cycles bearing the sticker will be allowed to parking the
cycle stand. Fees once paid, will not be refunded under any circumstances. All
cycles should be locked when they are parked in the cycle stand. The school is
not responsible for the loss or damage of cycles. Unauthorized parking will
call for a fine being imposed.
28. Entry into the cycle stand is only for the purpose of
putting in or taking out one’s cycle.
Loitering or standing idle in
or around the cycle stand is strictly forbidden.
29. The School Prospectus and Diary has to be brought to
School every day without fail. A fine will be imposed if it is not produced
when called for.
30. The following are strictly forbidden:
1.
Throwing
stones, sand or anything solid on one another.
2.
Bringing
electronic devices, mobile phones etc. to school. The same will be confiscated
and returned only at the end of the academic year.
3.
Cycling
in the School premises.
4.
Bringing
crackers or Holi colors.
5.
Playing
with water or throwing water on others.
6.
Tearing
any part of school uniform and books.
7.
Climbing
trees or roofs of the building or on the compound wall.
8.
Chewing
gum in / out of the class.
9.
Graffiti
on walls, desks & uniforms will call for disciplinary action.
31. Bullying and Ragging
a.
Students
are required to immediately bring to the notice of their teacher/ Discipline committee
if they are ragged or bullied in anyway.
b.
Any
student involved in participating, aiding and abetting or even being a silent
spectator to ragging or bullying is liable to be expelled.
